Executive Skills: The Secret Ingredient to Student Success

Virtual Workshop on Monday, June 16 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Live on Zoom

On June 16, join us in cooking up strategies that empower students to gain confidence and take ownership of their learning!

Great teaching is like a well-crafted recipe—carefully chosen ingredients, skillful preparation, and the right techniques all come together to create something meaningful. But even with the best curriculum and instruction, sometimes the results aren’t what we expect. You may have questioned your approach, searched for a new program, or sought advice from a colleague. But what if the missing ingredient isn’t what we teach, but how students learn?

Executive function skills—the mental processes that help us plan, focus, manage time, control impulses, and regulate emotions—are essential for success in school and beyond. When students are not supported with developing these skills, even the best instruction can fall flat.

At The Janus School, we integrate evidence-based strategies that strengthen students’ executive skills, helping them develop habits that lead to greater independence and success. During our live virtual workshop on June 16, Janus educators will share “recipes” for fostering executive function growth—so every student can reach their full potential.
