Three Age-Appropriate Sessions for Ages 3 through Rising 12th Graders
CONNECT at The Janus School is a speech therapy-based group program designed to help children and teens from age 3 through rising 12th graders build communication, social interaction, and executive functioning skills in a supportive, engaging environment.
Through small-group sessions, students learn and practice skills alongside peers, strengthening confidence, collaboration, and real-world communication in ways that feel natural and meaningful. Depending on age and grouping, sessions may include the following areas of focus:
• Play-based language interventions
• Following directions
• Conversational skill-building
• Executive function growth
• Turn-taking and cooperation with peers
• Community-based instruction

2026 CONNECT Programs
Connection Through Play
June 22-26
Monday – Friday
Ages 3 years through rising Kindergarteners participants must be potty trained
9:00-11:00 AM

This playful, speech and language-based program supports early social and language development for preschoolers through guided play. Learning is active, supportive, and designed to help young learners build confidence through connection. Preschoolers practice:
- Using words to interact with peers
- Taking turns and joining group activities
- Early social skills through indoor and outdoor play
Connection Through Collaboration & Exploration
June 15-18
Monday – Thursday
Rising 1st through 5th Graders
8:00-11:00 AM

Rising 6th through 8th Graders
12:00-3:00 PM
$300
This program helps elementary and middle school-aged students strengthen social skills through hands-on, project-based activities and games. With a mix of indoor and outdoor experiences, learning stays active and engaging while reinforcing:
- Conversation and turn-taking
- Teamwork and cooperation
- Attention, planning, and self-awareness
Connection in Action
June 22-25
Monday – Thursday
Rising 9th – 12th Graders
3:15-5:30 PM
$400*
Designed for high school-aged students, this program focuses on applying social communication skills in real-life settings. Through peer interaction and guided community outings, participants build confidence while practicing:
- Social communication and conversational language
- Executive functioning in real-world environments
- Community-based interaction skills
*Includes costs associated with ordering and purchasing food and drinks at local restaurants and businesses during mini field trips.
