The Janus School Raising Spirits Gala & Auction is our largest and most critical fundraising event. The gala takes place at our campus in Mount Joy and includes an evening of cocktails and hors devours, dinner and a live auction. Dress is semi-formal and guests often choose to reflect the theme of the event in their attire.
Since the inception of Raising Spirits in 2002, this event has raised over $1M for educational programming and financial aid that benefits families for whom tuition is a financial burden. Janus is the only independent school in Central Pennsylvania dedicated to helping students with language- or math-based learning disability, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), executive function difficulties (EFD), nonverbal learning disorder, or auditory processing disorder.

The social season is upon us and the Ton are abuzz with news of the 2025 Raising Spirits Gala & Auction. This splendid soiree promises delectable hors d’oeuvres and spirits, followed by a scrumptious dinner and scintillating live auction. Your presence is requested at this auspicious occasion where we “raise the paddle” for student financial aid and honor the memory of our dear friend, former Janus parent, and longtime board member, Larry Keating, whose service to Janus spans over five and twenty years.
Larry was a true champion of Janus. His joy, wit, wisdom, and humility are sorely missed by all who knew him. His greatest gifts to Janus were his ceaseless positivity and unending spirit of servant-minded leadership. Larry’s involvement with Janus started when his children attended the school in the early 2000s and ended in the summer of 2024 when he resigned from the board to focus on his health.
We welcome all friends of Larry to attend Raising Spirits to help us honor his work and celebrate his memory. If you cannot attend Raising Spirits, consider making a donation to the event in honor of Larry, which will benefit the Janus School programs and financial aid.
